Identified by the Lancashire Enterprise Partnership (LEP) as one of the six “Pillars of Growth”, this session highlights the importance of the Social Care sector in Lancashire and the potential for successful, varied careers within.

The social care sector has been identified as a huge area of growth. It is predicted that 25% more posts (440,000) will be needed by 2035.

This session highlights the importance of the social care sector in Lancashire and the potential for successful, varied careers within. Students will discover what social care means and will learn about the wide range of social care provision and workplace settings.

Through activity-based learning, they will experience the barriers people with disabilities may face, then develop an insight into the many varied careers available in social care.
