Skills for U is a virtual employability skills programme designed to help learners understand and develop key skills that will be important in their future career. The programme consists of eight ‘skill’ sessions and a final session where students pull together everything they have learned. The eight skills are Communication, Teamwork, Organisation, Problem Solving, Confidence, Money Management, Resilience and Initiative. Each session includes a video with information from our team and insights from local employers, as well as an accompanying worksheet for learners to practise and develop each skill. The programme is hosted on our website, so learners can work remotely and independently on the sessions, or it can be completed in school.
