Lesson Plan
The lesson plan below outlines the suggested timings and stated aims of the session.
PowerPoint Slides
Please download the slides below to deliver the Social Care session.
Both this version and the recorded version below have notes and links on each slide to support the delivery.
There is an additional link to a recorded video of Future U staff delivering the session which can be played in class.
Tasks
There are two main tasks for the learners to complete during the session.
The first task is to work in groups of 6s and use the glasses, gloves and ear defenders to open and read what’s in the envelope. There is a briefing sheet which explains exactly how to complete the task. It is important that the learners read this before starting. Following this, you should have a discussion with learners about how easy/difficult they found the task and reflect on how some people may require additional support.
The second task immediately follows this. Each group should be given a different case study to read, discuss and them complete the worksheet. Each group can feed back some of their ideas.
